DESCRIPTION
Wing-_L.pngthing.pngWing-_R.png
Vert-divider-400.png The storm whipped salt spray into her eyes, but her tears were not from the wind, nor the waves. There was blood on her hands, more than she ever could have imagined, but it would be worth it. It had to be.

Three long years she had waited for this day, but at last it was time. Tonight she would bring her brother back.

A crack of lightning struck the ocean nearby, eliciting a gasp from more than one of the company. Her jaw taut, talons digging into the rock below, she kept her head bowed against the wind, chanting. As she must, as they all must should this work. And it would work.

Another lightning strike, the flash blinding, deafening, but this one was accompanied by a scream. The cluster of dragons flinched in unison, feathers and fur singed in the blast, half-blind and terrified. Only Virtue's sheer force of will kept the chant from fading into the pounding rain, her mantra staggered and shaken as the others fell silent.

"Izarith is dead!" Mariwyn cried, crouching over the electrified corpse, and chaos ensued. The circle scattered, half in the air, fleeing to shelter before the sentence was complete, the other half screeching sentiments of doom.

"No!" Virtue screamed at the terrified dragons. "You promised- this is my only chance!"

"It's no use!" Vareth cried as lightning flashed once more, giving her a half-fearful, half-pitying look. "The circle is broken; the ritual cannot be completed!"

But Virtue would not give up so easily. She shook off Vareth's hand as he tried to pull her away from the altar, raising her wings and arms to the sky as she continued the chant. He lingered a moment more, then, seeing his efforts were useless, fled with the rest. She cursed them all for their cowardice.

Skin burning with the power of a spell never meant for one, Virtue screamed into the storm, the ancient words a war cry against nature itself, a dare to try and stop her.

Lightning struck once more. And Virtue, her swelling magic clashing with the sheer elemental force, died in its flash. Or, perhaps, she should have.

When Virtue opened her eyes at last, spent and bleeding, she found electric blue staring back at her, no shred of recognition, of concern held within. A stranger's eyes in her brother's form. A being born only of storm and sorrow.

Gods, what had she done?

Dv7rZZ7.png A drink and a book go hand-in-hand, or at least that's what Virtue would say. A newcomer to the clan, she nevertheless made her mark quickly as she opened up Sagelift Essences, fast become one of the more popular shops at the Summit. Conveniently located next to the library, a good book and a warm cup are never far apart.

The business advertises itself as a small café, selling hot beverages, pastries, and down-to-earth meals, but is also acts as the main potion dispensary of the area. Some might find it an odd combination, but a drink is a drink, no?

FAMILIAR

A quiet, watchful sort, Zesa tends to fade into the background wherever she goes. As to how she came to accompany Virtue, neither seem keen to enlighten.
