Biography

JORALLE
Forager, Warrior of the Edge of the Wyld

Mate: Goblin
Specialty: Foraging, Keeping Goblin on task

Joralle journeyed to the Edge of the Wyld Clan from her warrior clan to the north to learn new things and see things from a different perspective. When she arrived in the Edge of the Wyld Clan territory, she had no idea what she wanted to do or where she wanted to go--she didn't even know where the lair was as her travelling companion left her at the border saying that they didn't want to start any clan wars. They gave her only vague instructions along the lines of "You'll find their lair that way..."

It didn't help that Joralle herself had a terrible sense of direction and wound up hopelessly lost in the massive forest she would eventually learn was called the Wyldwood. She wandered the forest for days (it happened before there was a formal patrol of the Wyldwood) before she was found by Emmer, one of the Edge of the Wyld clan foragers. Emmer had Joralle join her group of foragers since they couldn't leave their duties to return her to the clan holdings and she taught Joralle many things during that journey.

When they went back to the holding, Emmer took Joralle to Kinya and the clan leader voiced her displeasure at the fact that Joralle's escort left her at the border instead of guiding her in--there were measures in place that would've allowed the escort to bring her in without any violations of treatises or cease-fires. However, Joralle assured her that she was fine and because of what happened she had a better idea of what she wanted to learn. Kinya listened when she voiced her desire and Joralle was assigned to Emmer's foraging group.

The months she spent with the foraging group proved valuable both in helping her learn the flora and fauna of the area as well as teaching her how to defend herself from the occasional forays of some of the more aggressive fauna and occasional incursions by the renegade Centaurs and Talonak. Thankfully, her time learning to forage also helped her find her sense of direction now she never rarely gets lost. Eventually, Joralle worked her way up to being in Emmer's favored group and was generally accepted as Emmer's second (and Emmer was second only to Faewyld).

After the attack on the Edge of the Wyld by the Shadow Hunters left Emmer dead, Joralle stepped up temporarily into the position of Head Forager to make sure that her shattered clan (she no longer really remembered her former clan) was set for food. After Faewyld returned from his escort duties, he took the position back over. Joralle still serves as one of the primary foragers of the clan, but she also has taken up a position as a member of the Defense Corps, Seaside Defense Squad.

In one of her early morning forays onto the beach just outside the hidden seaside entrance to the Edge of the Wyld Clan Holding, she stumbled across a massive Snapper severely injured by the Maren that called the channel between the Tangled Wood and Viridian Labyrinth home. She saw to his wounds in a rudimentary way and summoned others to help her get him to the infirmary where his wounds were tended to by Lilac. She later found out the Snapper's name was Goblin and once he recovered she found herself seeking out his company--usually finding him in the great hall munching on whatever the kitchens were putting out.

Joralle was actually the one that suggested making Goblin a guard at the seaside entrance when McNair and River were raging about how much food the Snapper was eating and how little he was helping otherwise. McNair agreed and then assigned Joralle as Goblin's supervisor and to share duties guarding the entrance when she wasn't on foraging missions.

Eventually, Goblin and Joralle came to an accord and they claimed a newly opened cave for themselves though the cave itself is rarely touched as Goblin only sleeps a few times a year and Joralle is more often than not out on extended foraging trips.
