Discord was born in the mountains of earth, but was raised in the harsh Plague lands. Constantly fighting to survive, she has learned to trust no one and she will kill anyone for the slightest chance of food. it takes a special type of dragon to get her to open up. once she trusts you after the many trials she will put any poor dragon through she will protect you for life. the only dragon she currently trusts is Echo. who found her when she was just a hatchling. she does long to find a life mate, but none have ever been able to tolerate her. favorite food are rats found in the plague lands.

(Vijathorn)
Leaving her lair in search of food was a regular thing for her. And considering she normally kept to herself it didn't matter much anyway. Except this time she seemed to have wandered a little bit further than normal.
Just a day ago she was surrounded by the dark forests of the shadowlands....yet today the forests had opened up into the green lush surroundings of the Glademother.

Slinking low to the ground, the mirror crept through the forest searching for pray. A movement amongst the bushes caught her sharp eye. 'That will do...' she thought before launching herself at the movement, lethal claws ready to rip apart whatever unfortunate creature was hiding in the bush.

A massive roar suddenly shook the very earth before something huge collided with her before her claws could strike. In a mass of flailing wings, Discord righted herself before swinging her head around to narrow all four eyes at whatever had interrupted her hunt.
She then found herself looking up at the bared teeth of a giant growling guardian. His oily black wings shimmered in the noonday sun as they arced over his head in a show of intimidation and dominance.

Despite her size next to him, she did the same. "You dare interrupt my hunt?"

A deep rumble sounded within the guardians chest. "You dare attack my baby sister?"

Frowning, Discord reevaluated the situation, glancing past the male to glimpse the tiny cowering guardian that shook behind him. "I didn't know."

The guardian snorted hot air through his nose, and raised his long neck so he could stare down at her from under his bone crown. "You must be hungry if you were ready to eat a hatchling."

Discord rolled her eyes. "Again. I didn't know." He kept her ground, untrusting of the blood colored guardian.

He spoke again, voice gravelly. "You're welcome to join me to get something real to eat. My clans stores are full."

The mirror eyed him suspiciously. "Your clan? You're the leader?"

"No, my brother is. Or was. It's complicated. Are you coming?" He turned his back on her, the dark blue scarves that were draped over him catching the breeze. Carefully he scooped up the still shivering hatching in a massive paw and deposited her on his back. Without saying another word he walked off.

Still not trusting the suspicious guardian, the mirror stayed for a moment, torn. That was until curiosity got the best of her and she trailed after him.
-
Sitting at the edge of the lair the mirror watched the daily life of the dragons around her. Despite staying much longer than she ever intended she didn't really feel at home here. This lair was much bigger than her own, filled with dragons that felt the need to invade personal business.

A sudden movement beside her startled her out of her thoughts as she was joined by a large dragon. As soon as she realized it was Lucifer, the one who at brought her she relaxed. He was the only one she really felt at all comfortable around.

"Your thinking of leaving?" His voice rumbled the question as he settled his intimidating form beside her.

She nodded but said nothing. This was not the place for her. It was to loud and full of action. Not to mention the political issues that Lucifer had explained to her.

"Sometimes I wish I could leave." He spoke, looking out at his clan members. His little sister, the one that Discord had almost mauled had grown and left the clan. Like every charge he'd ever had. It was lonely. Even his own kids preferred staying with their mother in her clan. It was why he'd attached himself to the little mirror, becoming her guardian during her stay. It was lonely here for him. He couldn't even hang around his mother or siblings because of the amount of political drama having to do with the faction war.
"If anything happens out there, consider this a safe place to come back to."

Pulling off the bone crown from his head, the guardian dropped it on hers. "The road can be dangerous. Hopefully this will make you a little bit more intimidating."

The mirror swung her head around as if testing the crowns weight. It was a tad big on her, but she liked it. Secretly she had been jealous as soon as she'd seen it a top the guardians head. "Thanks..." She said awkwardly. "I should be going.."

With that, she turned away, took a short running start through the clearing and took to the air. Onwards and upwards, onto the next step of her journey.

(Thalea07)
From the air, Discord could see everything; of course from where she was it was nothing but trees, but it was still a marvellous sight to see.

After hours of flying, Discord noticed something on the ground below; something that was reflecting the sunlight. Curiosity got the better or her and she flew down to land.

Once on the ground she began searching for the source of the light, which she found not too long after landing. Picking up the item she realized it was a gold necklace; that would explain the reflection.

Just as she was about to leave, a deep voice rumbled from the bush; a few seconds later a male Ridgeback dragon emerged.

She hadn't been watching where she was going and realized now that she had wandered into a dragon lair; a shadow lair by the looks of it.

"Nocturnal is very welcoming to strangers but he does not take too kindly to thieves" the deep red dragon said.

"I wasn't stealing it I promise. I noticed it from the sky and did not realize that it was inside of a lair" she responded.

"Well you can explain that to him. I am only guarding the lair from intruders. Follow me."
Without checking to see if she was following, the dragon wandered further into the shadows; not wanting to be rude she quickly followed. Once they arrived in the centre of the lair, Discord was led over to a large Guardian dragon; she assumed this was Nocturnal. The red dragon bowed and then waited for Nocturnal to speak.
"Thank you Blaize, you may leave us now."
Blaize walked away, presumably to continue his guard duty.
"What is your name traveller?"
"I am called Discord."
"What brings you to my lair Discord?"
"I was flying and something caught my eye on the ground; the sun had been reflecting off of this gold necklace. I flew to the ground to find out what it was and wandered into your lair by accident because I was not watching where I was walking." With her explanation she placed the necklace in front of Nocturnal.

"Thank you for returning my belonging. As a show of kindness, I'd like to offer you a place in my lair; temporary of course. You look like you've been travelling for a while and could use some rest. What do you say?"

"Thank you very much. I promise I will stay out of the way."

Later that night Discord found herself talking to Blaize; the red dragon from earlier that day. He was just telling her about the new hatchlings they were expecting when she heard a loud noise near the lair entrance; it did not sound friendly.

She jumped up and ran through the trees to find the disturbance; she was not expecting to stumble across a basilisk. Blaize was right behind her, and together they managed to scare the creature off, hopefully with no return.

A few days later Discord was approached by the clan leader Nocturnal.
"I heard of your actions a few nights ago and would like to thank you for protecting my home. With three nests of eggs soon to be hatching, it is hard to focus on guarding our lair. As a show of my gratitude, I'd like you to have this."
Once finished his speech, he placed his gift in front of her; the same gold necklace she had unintentionally tried to steal a few days earlier.

Without another word he left, and Discord retreated back to her temporary bed.

A few days later Discord knew it was time to leave. There were eggs which would be hatching that day and she did not want to be a distraction. Blaize walked her to the edge of the lair, and with her new gold necklace around her neck, she rose into the sky to seek her next adventure.

Kaiuke:

A storm was brewing around her as she reached peek flying altitude; the wing making it difficult to navigate. Discord was starting to wish to be home and over with her adventure. Being a loner dragon, she preferred to be alone and so far all she had managed to do was run into dragon after dragon.

A glimpse of something small and black flicked past her eye, making her jerk her head to the side, almost tearing the lift from her wings. A small black raven animal was circling her, looking panicked. She turned in the gust and snarled her teeth, she knew these were called Storm Seekers, and they were very rarely on their own. She knew they flocked to storm cells and often attacked unexpecting dragons. Her only hope was to scare him off before the rest of the flock joined him. With her teeth bared, she snapped at him.

Her jaws landed on one of his wings, shock making her bite weaker. She had never known a dragon to actually land a bite on one of these animals! The Seeker chirped a pained grimace, folded his wings, and began to plummet back to earth. Feeling somewhat guilty, she dived and caught the small animal in her jaws, careful not to bite down, and landed.

Quickly, she trotted towards a small cave and laid him out. He was still alive, but her bite had done severe damage to his wing. He looked so small and fragile without the rest of the flock. She licked at the wounds softly, trying to clean them out from the dust in the wind, hoping to avoid giving him an infection. She felt deeply guilty for the affliction, and wanted nothing more than for the little fellow to make it.

For days she stayed by the small birds side, fetching disgusting tasting bugs and plants to try and recuperate him. After a week of this, the small bird started to recover. He opened his eyes, pecked lovingly at her, and nuzzled into her large paw.

The next day, he was able to stand on his own, although not fly yet. Discord was eager to be off, but equally worried about the small Seeker's survival if she left him. With a small flick of his eyes, the Storm Seeker jumped up onto her bone crown and nestled in, ready to continue on their journey together. Much obliged, Discord took to the sky and started where she left off, however this time the storm, it seemed, had passed.
(XaentheUndead)

It wasn't long, her stay in the Shadow like lands of The Tangled Wood, before the minor stop due to the storm seeker. Later she was urged to go to the firelands, or as most called The Ashfall Wastes, upon her stay there she was told to later seek out the plaguelands.

Upon the thoughts of the plaguelands and the stories she looked over the storm seeker who seemed comfortable at the time being, settled into her bone crown. Discord didn't mind the Ashfall Wastes, it gave her a little help in flying with the heavy thermals.

Which she glided over mindlessly up to the point of reaching the Sea of a Thousand Currents. This is where she became stuck, for a mirror her wingspan wasn't nearly wide enough to keep her aloft over the churning waters. Disappointed she sat down and caught a few minor creatures to snack on.

A day passed by as she mulled it over on how to get to the other side of this place to reach the Plaguelands, but sitting here thinking was getting dull, her storm seeker fluttered down from her crown and washed itself in the ocean waters, preening its feathers. A little spark touched her mind as she decided what better way to enjoy the day then to bathe and have fun?

It was rare that she had fun these days with trying to fly and make destinations. So she decided to run against the on-coming waves, run out and race a wave back to the shoreline. She found out, waves were hard to race against, yet the water felt cool against her soot covered scales.

Wading out a little further she washed off her smokey form and watched as the soot rinsed away with the ebb of waves, slowly carrying them out further. The water was enjoyable in the noon sun, even so she proceeded to swim around a little enjoying the splash of waves against the back of her head fins. It was refreshing.

As the hours wore on she ran after her familiar splashing the poor bird with water and laughing, generally enjoying the time out here on this abandoned shore. However something was about to change.

Elenaril was a large guardian, yet she was tasked with fishing, having the gills and fins to make it easier than it was for the others of this clan, most of them flew over to the Sea of a Thousand Currents and hovered above the water trying to scoop fish up. IT was amusing really.

Upon seeing the waters she folded her wings a bit and dropped down skimming over the water before completely folding them and plunging headfirst into the cold drink. Keeping her wings taut against her form and her legs curled up she moved through the water much like a snake would. Using her tail to propel her and her arms to steer her. She made sure to chase what fish she could to shallow waters where she would surround them with her wings later and unwrap the burlap bag around her leg. However as she swam she noticed something different, a flailing in the water from something. Odd.

Usually if anything was flailing it was dying, or worse.. drowning. Curious she stuck low to the sand and crept up trying to figure out what was making such a splash. She spotted four almost birdlike claws plunging down into the surface and paddling, two large wings that would sometimes plummet into the water and a long slender tail. It must be a mirror.

Discord however grew tired of the additional effort to splash her familiar who twittered impatiently and son came to a rest. Discord's tail drooped into the water for a moment before she decided to take one last dip. Diving into a faintly bigger portion of water she closed her eyes a moment as her head plunged beneath the calmed waves and a few seconds before she opened her eyes, only to see the large blue orbs of a white guardian watching her back.

Bubbled and newly made currently rose as the mirror flailed beneath the water scrambling to get back up and get away. Elenaril smiled softly at the fright but felt guilt. She made her way to the surface easily as she noticed the mirror attempting to run back to the shore. Perhaps she frightened the mirror a little too much?

Discord hit the sand and flapped uselessly with her waterlogged wings. 'WHAT WHAT DO YOU WANT!' She snarled realizing it was too late to escape as she flared her wings and lashed her tail behind her. Elenaril tried to make herself smaller, but that was like trying to ask an imperial to look like a fae.

'I'm sorry if I frightened you.' She apologized softly, however Discord seemed bent on her own anger from her fright.

Attempting to change the subject Elenaril spoke up a bit. 'By chance are you the new wanderer? Our lair in the plaguelands never got our visitor yet.' She asked gently. Discord eased up a bit on her aggressive posture. 'Y-Yeah.. I was suppose to get to the plaguelands, but... I can't.' the mirror's head dropped faintly as did her own wings, Elenaril finally understood. Mirror's can't fly for very long distances.

'Would you by chance like a ride to the plaguelands?' She asked softly. Discord didn't want to tarnish her dignity but hesitantly agreed for the lift. Gently Elenaril lowered herself and spread out her right wing to open up room for t he mirror to climb aboard which she did.

-

Elenaril grimaced faintly at the sharp claws that scrabbled against her scales and rose her wing once more, waiting for the mirror's familiar to get nestled in. Once everyone was accounted for the guardian rose upwards to the sky.

Discord however kept her claws a little firm against the dragon's hide and looked down, the guardian smiled softly as she skimmed over the water slowly gaining altitude and trying to reach the crest leading to the plaguelands.

The steep almost rotten looking ridge rose before her, and she raised upwards cresting over the bone strewn ridge. 'I hope your alright.' She called back.

Once they crested over the mirror watched the landscape below them and noticed the good many small packs of mirrors running about. It wasn't a long ride before she noticed a slight glimmer in the distance.

Sundance one of the few wildclaws in their lair was out sunning herself next to Faana, and a male mirror their wings spread to gather as much sun as they could to warm up. Elenaril locked her wings in a gentle glide and landed a little ways off as to not disturb the sunning dragons.

Faana craned her long serpent like neck and smiled. 'Is this our new wanderer?' Elenaril nodded softly. 'Welcome little one.' She greeted gently. Discord jumped off from Elenaril and buggered off looking within the deep lair that housed so many larger dragon-kin.

It wasn't long before she stumbled into two new lair-mates, a sunshine female coatl and a blood red female imperial. They were still young but already they had their new places within the slowly growing cavern.

Having an irk with the large female guardian she stayed but remained quiet, observing more than anything before having to go to the Lightning expanse. Though she hated the fact she asked one of the imperials if they may lend her a ride there. Most disregarded her for being so leery to Elenaril but young Ianthine decided it was long-over due that she needed to spread her large wings. Ianthine allowed Discord upon her shoulders before gliding off to the Lightning Expanse.

While upon the way Ianthine asked a few questions to ease the faint friction she had with her clan, getting to know the young mirror. 'It is a shame these lairs are so far, I hope my flying isn't too bumpy, I've been tempted to go to the lair as she had heard word passed down from Hikku that there was a magnificent looking Imperial. She had wanted to see him, trying to find a mate of her own which her adopted father wouldn't try to kill, but regardless she didn't mind the journey.

It wasn't long before the two arrived in the Expanse, however Ianthine wasn't certain where their lair was.
