______ Originally from the Gladeveins, Keya was held as the embodiment of the sun, her scales glittering against the rays that reflected of the Gladeveins waterfalls and pools. She loved her home and spent her days getting to know the various birds and other fauna that inhabited the glades, often hoping that the Gladekeeper would come and show her further wondrous sights and even let her be exalted into higher ranks by the Gladekeepers side. But that was not to be.

A fire broke out in the Gladeveins, many creatures, dragons included, lost their homes to the blaze. Keyas home was amongst the few out of reach of the blaze, so as the fire raged on the young dragon watched from the safety of her lair in wonder. As others fled for their lives, or died trying to escape, the little guardian looked on gazing at the mix of reds and orange framed in a golden hue. She looked down at the embers reflecting light of her scales and felt warmth not only in the air around her but inside. A spark lit in her mind, a connection much deeper than she’d ever felt with the Gladekeeper, she stepped forward into the flames and found her body could not burn.
As the fire faded, she was left in the ruin of the glade dusted in ash but unharmed.

At first she’d thought she’d found her calling, she would seek out the Flamecaller and meet the deity of fire, her journey took her through Dragonhome and eventually to the Scarred Wasteland. Where she was set upon by a clan of wandering dragons, led by an old Ridgeback named Yaga. The clan was few in numbers but were more experienced fighters and took Keya down in an instant, however Yaga didn’t kill the young guardian and instead put her to work as a scavenger.
It was in her time in the clan that Keya met the young mirror male, Lupin. A few years older than she was at the time her seemed to tower over her, clad in his wolf skin.

In the years she spent with the clan she began to understand their ways and develop a fondness for the dragons within it, the clan began to grow and gain a holding on the land. But as it had grown so had Keya, literally and figuratively, she now held a place beside Yaga and was soon deemed her mentee. As time followed Yaga started to become weary, her once calm nature became clouded by delusions and sickness. It seemed her time spent in the wasteland had caught up to her, or was it something else… Needless to say Keya took over as clan leader, Lupin by her side and with this Keya not only felt her calling to the Flamecaller extinguish but a new one ignite. One all guardians seek out, she’d found her charge to protect.
