While expanding their territory, the clan were exploring some nearby ruins. After the nocturne scouts confirmed that the area was free of enemies, the expedition team were sent in to pillage the area. Flanks heard the familiar sound of a hungry hatchling, and began to search the grounds. He found a small purple mirror.

On return to the clan grounds, the mirror was given a health check - mandatory for adopted hatchlings. Flanks noted how young the mirror was, and how quickly she would grow.

Months passed, and all that grew was Flanks' worry. He took her to the clan healers, but they were stumped. She was taken to Bubble and Gum, the head scientists. After extensive testing, they found that the hatchling was eternally youthful; a magic that was not undone without great consequence to the dragon in question. It was decided that the best thing for the mirror would be to let her remain in her eternally youthful state, and Flanks would be the best dragon to care for her.
