Named after Ronon Dex's fiancee in Stargate: Atlantis. Her name is pronounced mel-a-naa.

Melena was born into the clan to parents Ba'al and Adria. Her parents tried hard to send her off to find a life for herself somewhere else, but she fell in love with the 'bad boy' Ronon and made the decision to stay with him. Her father, greatly displeased by this choice refuses to speak to her, despite her being his only daughter remaining with the clan. Ba'al and his proud nature prefer to look upon it as an insult rather than an honor.
