As the fiercest and most protective of all the dragons in the lair, Voleta has made herself both the leader and the den mother of her newfound home. Even as a child, she thirsted for the outside world, overeager to leave her home and set out to find her charge and purpose. She craved this so much that her insistence and escape as a hatchling led her parents to allow her to leave earlier than her siblings, just so long as she lived under the care of one of her other family members, Dagarkin. Dagarkin, having still not found his own charge, took her under his wing and together the two traveled together in search of their purposes.

Dagarkin found his charge in her, while she found her calling in those younger than her. Now that she is older, Voletta understands her calling to protect youth and innocence. She has turned her lair into a home for the wayward hatchling and youngling, giving them a safe home where their talents and desires are encouraged as they grow. Once the reach adulthood, they are of course permitted to set out on their own, but most stay to help tend to the young ones for a little while.

Personality-wise, Voleta seems outwardly stern and and aggressive, but if you spend time with her, you'll understand that while she runs a tight ship, she loves all her charges and is quite generous and friendly at her core.
