OZARK

Ozark was one of the original founders of this clan.

Ozark was once a simple trader living a peaceful life in a forest. One day, as she was flying back from a trade festival, she noticed a dark cloud on the horizon. A forest fire had sparked while she was away, destroying hundreds of acres of territory. She made haste for her den with the intent to save her wares, but there was no way to move everything out in time, and soon, the flames threatened to engulf her home. She had to abandon her accumulated treasures.

Creatures all around her were scattering in a panic. Though Ozark herself could fly up and out of the way of the blaze, the sheer cliff faces that surrounded her remote den threatened to trap a Beastclan family that had been living nearby. Though a mere trader, she leapt into action, helping identify safe paths up the steep cliff face the family could climb to escape.

It looked like they had made it out alive, but as Ozark lit upon the cliff's edge to push their child the rest of the way up a particularly tall step to safety, the cliff crumbled away beneath her claws, tumbling her into the inferno below.

She should have perished in the wildfire, but moments later, Ozark burst from the blaze, her feathers brilliantly varnished and gleaming brightly in the sunlight, as the family she had just rescued cried out with joy.

Unable to fully comprehend exactly what happened that day, Ozark took it as a sign of her true calling: to be a force for good and protecting those in dire need. To this day, her feathers have not lost their sheen, and no one knows exactly how old the Skydancer is. But one thing is for certain- Ozark is a stalwart companion, a champion for the meek, and a merciful defender.

Of course, every warrior needs a place to lay their head. Ozark met Jey during one of his magma walking demonstrations and the pair were instantly intrigued by each others' imperviousness to fire. They decided to settle along the magma river where they now call home, each hoping to learn from the other.
