Daughter of the warring couple Xochiquetzal and Mictlantecuhtli, who seem to constantly battle over ownership of The Pale Gulch and the lands beyond it. Zira both looks up to and is displeased with their lust for control, instilling in her the desire to rule her own territory but little of the drive for her to actually pursue it.
Instead she has put that desire on the backburner (possibly forever) in favor of focusing on her more easily obtainable dream of becoming a gladiator, after all, she thinks, it would be foolish of her to waste all her strength and talent on anything less.
