Scout

This lil bab was part of this thread that helped people send their dragons around the world. Scout was one of wolfcathybrid (aka mine) dragon's, but when he returned to his home clan I realized I had no space for him. So I have decided to send him out to find a new permanent clan! I'd prefer if you'd keep the travel logs, but if you decide not to thats totally fine, too! Just let me know before deleting it all so I can copy it down and save it.

wolfcathybrid, 180358- Almost instantly, this little one wandered off with his sister Raya, and managed to somehow leave clan territory unscathed despite having just hatched. Maybe they'll find adventure? Only time will tell!

Scout managed to find himself lost in the Sunbeam Ruins, where he stumbled across the border of a clan. The clan's guards surrounded him almost immediately, and took him to their leader.

The clan was usually ruled by a duo, but one of the two was away, leaving his mate to rule the clan by herself until he returned. She laughed when she saw that the intruder she was to sit in judgement of was only a child, and allowed him released without punishment or questioning.

One member of the guard wanted to keep the hatchling, but the leader reminded him what would happen to a Shadow child caught in the grounds when her mate returned.

The guard flew the hatchling far away from the clan, to ensure he would not accidentally return, and watched as he wandered away.

After days and days of wandering, Scout was found by the couple of colorful faes, who flied around wearing tiny swords and armor. Surprisingly, they happened to be very friendly and asked if Scout were lost, hurt or hungry. They were Dagda and Airmed, the Bounty Hunters of the Crystalline Lilies clan, as they explained. Scout wasn't able fully understand what was all this "bounty hunting" is about and was worried about it for a while, but gratefully accepted a invitation to the clan's lair.

He spent a lot of time among this Arcane clan, learning things and making friends. For the first time he had a huge crush for another dragon - mirror girl named Vivien. At first he stayed just for a little, then prolonged his stay for the Starfall Festival, and after that he stayed again as the Battle of the Bay took place and roads and skies weren't safe.

But on the other day he finally decided to leave, knowing that if he'll need a safe place to stay, he'll find it in Starfall Isles.

After leaving the Crystalline Lilies Clan, Scout wandered around Arcane for a while longer until he was found by Murasakibara and Tatsuya while they were on patrol. Murasakibara, being the lazy dragon he is, was all for leaving Scout where he was, however, Tatsuya insisted they bring the newcomer to Hanako and Hibiki, the clan leaders.

It was quite a sight to see such a large dragon being led through the area by two tiny Faes. And although Scout was slightly apprehensive to meet the clan leaders, he knew that Arcane was always welcoming to travelers. However, after being with the clan for a while, he decided that it was time to be on his way.

Sooner or later, he found himself on the Frigid Floes in the Southern Icefield. His claws weren't as steady on the ice as a dragon native to the area would be, and he found himself slipping and sliding around. He was about to slip into the frigid water when vines wrapped around his middle and pulled him onto land once more. Now safe on the edge of the Snowsquall Tundra, Scout followed the vines as they freed him and returned to coil around the limbs of their owner. Not far away, a small Fae was peering at him from a bare tree branch.

The strange-looking Fae introduced himself as Robor of The Terminal Burrow then, after a pause for Scout to introduce himself in turn, instructed the Mirror to follow him. Robor took off without waiting for an answer, leaving Scout to follow him blindly.

They arrived at a burrow not long after that, and Robor introduced him to the clan leader, a jolly Tundra by the name of Murtoff , who informed Scout that he could stay in the warmth of the large burrow for as long as he pleased. And Robor, who usually would've left their guest to get acquainted with everyone by now, had apparently decided to stick by Scout's side for the duration of his stay.

Maybe the fact that Scout was a dragon of Shadow, much like Robor himself, was the reason for that. Or maybe just because the only other Shadow dragon in the clan was an over-excited Spiral named Jester who Robor couldn't be around for too long without getting irritated.
Either way, seems like Scout had a new friend for now, provided he could handle with the unusual Fae who tended to be a bit of a clawful.

Scout had close to no memory of before he started journeying. He passed through a clan, however, that pointed him back the way he came. A kindly wildclaw, who took one look at him and asked him if he were related to Nagi, who helped run the Inn at an allied shadow clan. Upon voicing his confusion, the elderly wildclaw gave him a set of directions, which he (confusedly) followed. Upon arrival to the so called "Inn", he was shocked to realize that one of the Innkeepers looked suspiciously like him (to be fair, she was fairly shocked, too). After a very heartfelt reunion, (including finally meeting his parents. Finally) Nagi ushered him into her room, assuring him that he could stay with her for as long as he wanted, even if he decided to continue his travels.
