Some desert-dwelling cultures have believed that the intense cold of a desert night is caused by the moon, just as the intense heat of a desert midday is caused by the sun. Certainly those meeting Artemis, who seems to wear the moon on her wings, would have this idea confirmed for them. She isn't unkind, but she is implacable, just like the cold that sets in when the sun falls below the horizon in her native Icefields. She does not deviate from her personal code, not even when it would benefit her, just as the moon does not deviate from its path around Sornieth.

Artemis is a capable huntress, bringing meat and materials back to the clan and dividing them with scrupulous fairness. When necessary, she'll use those same skills to track a member of the Beastclans, or even another dragon, and perhaps that contributes to her reputation - when a wayward hatchling or a pillaging Longneck will be brought back with the same efficiency, dragons with something to hide get nervous, and who, really, doesn't have something to hide?
