Chikyu has known hardship, and what of it she hasn't known, she reads about. Her personal bookshelves overflow with books on various tragedies, from the fantastical to the unfortunately real. There's a sort of numbness that accompanies reading these tomes - one that she very much welcomes, in lieu of the usual pain occupying that space.
