Foste

Foste came to to the clan as a hatchling, delirious from exhaustion and malnutrition, and would attack anyone who came near to him. BlumenKonigin felt his presence while doing rounds with the BrightGuards; a sour taste on her tongue and goosebumps that left her chilled. Having never before encountered a dragon touched by Shade, she took the Guards and went to investigate.
Foste had made the trek across the leagues of land and sea between the Icefields and the Sunbeam Ruins, living off the instincts a dragon is born with. Konigin and BlitzLiebe knew that forcing the hatchling to join the clan, even if in the long run he would be thankful, was not the right course of action. Every morning and evening, AndeHerre or BlitzLiebe would take a Guard and find Foste wherever he had hidden that day, making sure he had what he needed to survive.
Tempted with food, clean water, and shelter, Foste eventually followed AndeHerre back to the clan grounds to be properly tended to, and was welcomed into the clan with open arms. Even with the calming presence of BlitzLiebe, Foste would not talk for many years after his arrival.

He bonded with AndeHerre after the brusque dragon saved him from certain death in the wilds, and continued following him like a shadow until he was an adult. Foste learned the art of healing from his constant watching of AndeHerre's work.

Though he struggled, and still does at times, to understand that he must live with the shade inside of him, he knows that Clan Seiasa accepts him no matter what and that the Light of The Luminary will keep his darker impulses under control.

He tries to hide it, he really does. He has to, he knows - his parents can't know, nobody can. He's not supposed to be like this. He's not supposed to be the thing he was born to hunt.

And yet, Foste can feel it inside him. Like tendrils under his skin, he can feel the Shade that he was somehow born with, and he can feel it in others. He felt it in his father, moments before he turned and fled his birthclan to escape the certain death he would have surely faced otherwise. And now, he runs. He never fulfills his purpose, too afraid that someone will recognise him for what he is, and always hoping that one day, he'll find a clan where he won't have to see his biggest flaw in others.
