Taozou

Calm, quiet, wise and fair minded, Taozou is trusted and respected by all within the clan, many of whom turn to them when they need advice.

He was not always like this. As an impulsive youth, he was involved in an "accident" that caused the death of a friend and led to him being banished from his birth clan. After that he traveled the world, seeking penance and solace for his past crime. Eventually he returned to his clan, but while he found forgiveness from those there he did not find acceptance, and retired to a life of solitude in the windswept plateau.

That was were Aizylin and Endor found him. He helped them retrieve an artifact, and along the course of their journey was eventually convinced to join the group. When he's not attending to his duties, he spends time meditating, hanging out with his good friend Druid, and/or reading. He is a great lover of history and few could match his knowledge in that subject.

As the first wind element dragon in the clan, he represents that element on the council. He is also in charge of settling disputes not important enough to be brought before the full council. Although he is known to be a forgiving dragon personally, he is also just and not afraid to deal out harsh sentences for harsh crimes.

On clan matters, Taozou often advises patience and thoughtfulness. His wisdom is held in high regard even by Aizylin.

"Hmmm.....
That information is rather sensitive and....painful for me personally. But it would be impolite if I did not answer your question, since that is what we have gathered here to do.

I came across the artifact in question as a youth. I did not understand what exactly it was, only that is was powerful and could amplify the magical abilities of any wind dragon that possessed it. I was curious and stupid, and abused it's powers. In the process I...killed a very dear friend of my. Accidentally or not, either way the fault was mine.

In my sorrow and guilt I cast the artifact into the The Twisting Crescendo after I was banished from my clan. Many, many years later I crossed paths with the leaders of the Reltseo clan who were looking for this artifact, and told me that it contained "the wind element made physical" and that they needed it. It took a long time for them to convince me, but eventually I relented and brought them to were I had thrown it away. The adventure we had in the process of retrieving it is a story in itself, so I will only say that we were successful and thus were one step closer to completing....
