I lay on the ground, flat and unmoving. For several minutes, I had been staring at a rabbit hole. There was no doubt it was inhabited. Occasionally I could see a twitching nose emerge from the dark. But I'm patient. At least, until I felt something tugging my tail.
'Hey, what are you doing? Are you alright? You aren't moving.' The chattering scared the rabbits back deeper in the hole. 'Just say something. Can help! Trust me.'
I turned my head to see a concerned red spiral. 'Calm down. I'm alright. But please, be quiet.' I hushed him while shoving a piece of lettuce closer to the rabbit hole. 'I'm trying to get the critters used to my presence. I like animals, you see?'
Oh, sounds interesting.', he said, slightly less loud. 'But I still prefer plants. I'm a healer, and I know everything about plants. It all started when I was young, and my best friend-'
'Okay, I understand.', I interrupted him. 'You like plants because they don't run away when you talk. That's nice, I guess.'
Seemingly oblivious to my comment, he kept on talking. 'You know how unusual it is to find a spiral like you. I mean, you sit around all day, doing nothing. Doesn't that get boring?' He got closer to my face. 'Also, you appear to be from the plague realm. I didn't know plague dragons like bunnies.'
'Well, once animals are tame, you can have a lot of fun with them. Many are just as active as we are. As for why a plague dragon likes animals, we are all different, just like you earth dragons.
