- An expert on religions, especially with regards to their understanding of the afterlife, though not particularly religious himself - has a belief in a higher power, but not any system of beliefs.
- Fascinated by what happens (well, what may happen, or not) after death.
- Presides over any funerals or memorials; a paternal figure for the community alongside Kazimir and Gnothi. Where Gnothi is more supportive of the young and trying new things, and Kazimir more like a grumbly but kind grandfather who believes in tradition and old ways, Anubis is more of a balance between the two. He's very wise; oddly so for his age, as if he's lived before. Very intuitive, he seems to know much more than he should. It unnerves some but comforts others. He prompts one more to think for oneself. He's very good with troubled youths.
