An older brown dragon heaves each foot onto the dusty ground as he looks up to where you stand. He is wearing golden glasses and a brown cloak. You look into his eyes, wondering what he is doing here. He is far too old to be trick-o-treating, right? His icy white eyes show a hint of amusement, but seem relatively blank. His short, stubby hands hang down like two heavy rocks. The dragon clasps his hands together, frantically. Clap! On his head now lies a brown witch’s hat, matching the color of his cloak.

“Wizard? Witch? Who even are you?”

His mouth opens as if to talk but he keeps quiet for a bit longer. Stepping into the light, you have the full view of this old dragon. A coatl, a bit smaller than you, stands in front of you. He looks intelligent, caring, warm...someone you would want your grandpa or dad to be. These descriptions surprise you. Was this not the dragon I thought was crazy and eccentric?

“Trick-o-treat” he calls, in a calm, youthful voice, breaking your chain of thoughts.
