Zustein is the respected leader of Terra Soleil, the guard of Clan Xiyang.

He was born into a family of scholars within the Hewn City of the Sunbeam Ruins. Even as a child however, the imperial had no interest in become a scholar or studying the histories of times long past. He left home at a young age against his parents' will to find his own path.

Zustein travelled west away from the Sunbeam Ruins toward the shadows of the Tangled Wood. There, he spent many of his early years taking part in rebellious activities that his parents would have been appalled to hear about. As the years passed, Zustein found himself growing bored the wild life and sought to pursue a more meaningful direction. Although he made many friends and would miss the fun and trickery, his heart no longer felt 'complete' The young imperial, now fully matured and an adolescent no more, decided to head back home.

Zustein is often the mediator in fights and arguments between his subordinates, but he himself can easily be provoked. There have been situations when he has angrily cursed at those he cares for, but they know he means well. Usually the entire Guard has a good laugh about it afterwards.
