tumblr_inline_mzyi25LNPW1st17vy.gif Khthon
Title: Interior designer
Flight: Earth
Allegiance: Earth

Perhaps it’s because he has the Spiral’s innate inability to sit still, or maybe he inherited the urge to alter living spaces from his architect father. Most likely, it’s a mixture of boredom and a desire to keep things in what he deems the “correct” order, as any bauble out of place is liable to leave him shrieking. Whatever the case, Khthon has taken to a life of arranging and rearranging everything around him, stacking chests and swapping trophies around like swindler during a game of shells, never wholly satisfied by the way things turn out as he struggles to keep things in order.

His order.

Khthon is something of an antsy dragon, a deep-voiced marvel with a rational mind and irrational nerves. He’s intelligent, articulate, strong, and serious, as well as possessing all of the inherent Earth stubbornness that is to be expected for a dragon of the Flight. It’s not uncommon to find him planning impossible arrangements that he forces to fruition, regardless of how long it takes or how much he struggles. If at first he doesn’t succeed, he will continue until he breaks a bone in the process, you rest assured.

He is a dragon of remarkable taste, though, and most find nothing to complain about once he finishes whatever he’s doing. In all honesty, he seems to be somewhat ambivalent about the aesthetics of the outcome. All that matters is that everything makes sense in the ever-changing patterns of his mind.

Demure/ Charming/ Dishonest
This young coatl has the grace and poise of her parents. But instead of using it for the greater good, she uses all the wit and charm to do things that they would be appalled by. For instance, she often takes things without asking. In fact, the more closely guarded something is, the better she likes it. She sees it as a challenge. She is also becoming quite adept at using what little magical talents she has for concealment, making her even more adept at stealth. Thievery excites her and she's finding that that is nothing compared to the thrill of besting an opponent in physical combat. Her stealth serves her just as well in this arena as it does her forays into stealing.
As her skills in both improve, as well as that charming facade she puts up, the hint of bloodlust within her begins to surface. It isn't inconceivable that as she grows, she will not stop at thievery, but graduate to assassinations as well.

tumblr_inline_mzyi2b0MfY1st17vy.gif Enigma
Occupation: Courier
Flight: Earth
Allegiance: Earth

When something needs to get somewhere and you’re far too lazy to do it yourself, nobody is as good at delivery as Enigma. At least, that’s what she’ll tell you.

The child of a cartographer, Enigma grew up hearing pretty bizarre tales of far off lands, Flights far different than what she was used to, and places that defied explanation, common sense, physics, nature, or all of the above. Refusing to be tied down to Dragonhome after getting an earful of wonder every time she sat down, she decided to fly off into the sunset to start a new life as a globetrotter. It was her dream, her passion, her driving force in life.

Then, she found out that things cost money. Food is hard to catch on your own because bugs are fast. Sometimes it rains, and rain sucks when you don’t have a roof over your head.

And so, Enigma found her passion, her dream, her driving force in life to convince a clan to let her stay, in exchange for maybe running places for them if they didn’t feel like doing it themselves. At least being a delivery dragon meant that she could still see the Behemoth up close or the haunted Hewn City, but she could always go back home and beg for food or use their resources. It’s mutually beneficial, maybe. It really depends on who you ask.

Enigma is an outgoing dragon with a zest for life that crosses from being infectious to a little intimidating. She likes new experiences, new people, and latches onto strangers like a parasite while desperate to hear their stories, or even suggestions for a place to stop and look around while on the job. Her clanmates will begrudgingly admit she’s dependable--she often gets her packages and letters where they need to be on time, and has never lost a one--but are put off by how distracted she can become on the return trip.

Providing she has nothing to return with, she may simply go off course for a week. Maybe two. And it’s inevitable that when she gets back, she’ll want to be fed immediately.

She's been told she has that kind of face, you know, the type where strangers would accept a hug from you and random lost hatchlings start following you around until you drop what you're doing and help them look for their parents. A friendly face. A trustworthy one.

She doesn't feel awfully trustworthy. The problem is that being trustworthy comes with being reliable, and being reliable comes with not being too gullible. She's had a bad track record with friends - with dragons she thought were her friends, and then used her friendly-trustworthy face to trick other dragons. She always feels bad when she figures it out, and then she feels twice as bad because she's not even the one who they were trying to trick.

That's enough of all that, then. She's going to stop "helping" - a polite but firm no should do the trick, even if she's never managed to pull it off before! And also she's still obviously going to help the hatchlings. You can't just have lost hatchlings wandering around without someone looking out for them. And also she supposes she'd have to make exceptions for dragons who seem like they really need help, and dragons who look really out of sorts, and oh no. Oh gosh. Maybe she's the one who needs help?

This wasn't a problem back in the Southern Icefield.

He actually stood out quite well against the icy cliffs and blinding snow! It didn't even occur to him to be concerned about this, amidst the long, long list of worries he had about moving so far away from home.

Well, they've got grass here. And if he folds up his wings all snug and cozy, and settles himself down for a quick nap, he's learned that he will wake up to somebody tripping over him, or hatchlings tumbling head-over-heels over his horns because they're playing tag, or somebody else trying to take a nap on what looks like a nice soft hummock.

He can't bring himself to mind too much, though. It's nice to have the company, and he is quite soft, and he finds naps are always improved by adding a couple more dragons to the pile.
