Her natural crackle has been an excellent way to hide the residue on her fur. Dance powder is a chemical combination seen as a powder that can make it rain when burned at the expense of causing less moisture in the surrounding area, if used often and in great enough amounts can cause severe droughts in surrounding areas. It is considered a dangerous substance and heavily regulated by most clans with severe penalties had for those found holding it illegally. When told to blend in she set up shop and immediately struck a friendship with Evgir and Frey as well as began flirting with Vivace to great success. She seems as if she's just humoring Millefiore and with her vast Underground contacts she just might be yet in her own roundabout way she always ends up following his orders. I wouldn't mind taking one on!

Not sure who fits best but I do have Pestle, she's runs a illegal chemical smuggling ring basically including drugs, medicine, acids, poisons, stuff that goes boom and most importantly, dance powder which when burnt in large amounts will cause rain at one location but drought the surrounding areas. Being the boss means she's got underlings and while her network is mostly intact she has suffered losses, it's part of the reason that she's teamed up with the other villain in my lair.

Now the question is who fits best and if it was deliberate that they got caught or a wrong time/wrong place thing, was there a rat? And either way is Pestle letting them rot, cutting her losses and all or is she just bidding her time until they either get released or she gets the opportunity to break them out.

I will make a longer post about it tomorrow since I am suppose to be going to bed, but I have a feeling Vindictive might work. He makes me think of someone silent who likes deadly things (especially once he gets poison).

l am normally not a fan of female tundras or crackle, but she is too perfect! I would never suspect that face of doing anything illegal. Very nice bio, and I can see how crackle would come in handy. ^^

Vindictive definitely seems to fit best. Not sure how or why he would have got caught yet. His name speaks of revenge, but that could mean wanting revenge on a rat, the dragons who caught him, or even Pestle herself. It could be any or all, since there would be no way to break him out since the prison is not a normal prison. The entrance is more like a portal to another world. The best bet for Pestle would be to either let him rot or hope that he manages to get out.

I know! I'm so pleased with her though I really need to get her character completely down, she's slippery to me.

I'm for there being a rat or it just being bad luck. While Pestle can be careless and have a 'just business' reasoning I have a feeling that she knows this dragon well and he's the catalyst for the new operation in my clan so he would probably be high-placed either due to usefulness, skill, or favoritism. Even though I'm the one talking I have a feeling she likes this one and is very put out that he got caught. Even if she's not actively rooting for him to get out she would gladly welcome him back into the fold if he were to turn up unexpectedly.

Heck is she's Pestle maybe he's Mortar. Would make him even more vengeful since he would have been Pestle's first partner and he would hate that all he worked for just got snatched from him...that is if he even knows who got him there, there's always the chance he thinks Pestle's in on it anyway...and now I'm thinking of the Count of Monte Cristo.

It can definitely take awhile to get a character down. I have a character, Jasper, who is taking forever to figure out, but I feel he is coming together now. And on the topic of Monte Cristo, I sort of based Jasper on the Count. If you mix a crow, a hacker, and the Count of Monte Cristo then you get Jasper. He scares me more than my insane characters.

A rat probably fits best, because I can see him being high-placed for any or all of those reasons. (Making up this personality as I go). He is quiet one that only talks when it is needed so I could see it being very difficult for anyone getting information out of him. Looking at the scry of him, his future look makes me think he greatly enjoys what he does and is very good at it, especially when it comes to poison and explosives, and maybe even dance powder because it sounds like beautiful destruction (which that will now be the words to describe him). He is beautifully destructive.

Being Mortar sounds interesting. That definitely would make him more vengeful. Figuring out if Pestle had anything to do with it would definitely be a goal of his if he ever got out.

Yeah for awhile I had this dragon named Cloudspear who I wanted to be the villain's bookkeeper but I couldn't think that someone as smart as him would get caught up unless he wanted in but he was so in love with this other dragon I wondered how he could lie so easily without making his cowardly streak a serious problem so I ended up writing that despite how guilty he felt the villain was that charismatic and he had a greedy part of him that made him justify himself.

Yeah I could see Pestle pulling something like this for a thief, fool or a rat but for someone she was just done with she would just be blunt about it. Also if there's was gonna be a story involving it I would much rather write it using my own dragons rather another's. Pestle works with dance powder the most and while she hadn't minded expanding her ring she wouldn't have much on her own since Dance Powder is so bad as it is. Unless she had a partner who's business was in other places like explosives or poisons.

I suggested Mortar since I have no plans on getting a Mortar and I've never really seen one without the other.

That sounds interesting, and I must say Cloudspear is a pretty awesome name.

What type of story would you rather write with your own dragons?
Sorry, I am pretty tired and not thinking too well right now. xD Plus I get confused easily anyway.

Yeah it is, I saw it in an adoption thread but the dragon wasn't what I wanted so I decided I'd have a drgaon named Cloudspear at one point.

I meant that if I was gonna write about traitors and how Pestle dealt with them or just her minions in general I don't want to be using other peoples dragons and then get their perceived characters wrong, not to mention how said character would act outside my story with the other's dragons like what if I changed something important later and it wrecked all the interactions they'd had before then that the owner had thought of? I'd much rather use my own and my own headcanons or lack therefore of, I can switch between building the story around the characters and building the characters around the story as needed and change what I want when I want.

Ah, that makes sense, and I understand where you are coming from. That is one thing that makes this project hard, since I don't like writing characters that belong to other people. I know with my dragon Liberate, someone else wrote about him in two bios and I went off of that to create his character, but that seems to be the extent of what I am comfortable with. It is easier to mention other people's characters instead of trying to write them.
