Curse's family was cast out of a band of traveler's when he was a hatchling because of their pale plumage. It is a superstition among coatls that coatls born white or grey are bad luck and a sign of fading plumage means illness. Unfortunately Curse grew up with nothing. By the time Harlequin's caravan found the starving coatl on the edge of the Shifting Sands he was almost grown. Surviving for this long without essential nutrition had caused his plumage to fade even more. The dirt and grime allowed the toxins & bacteria he was born with as a plague dragon to thrive. By the time they returned to the clan's lair, Harlequin realized that Curse had the gift (or a curse) of hoarding everything and spending with the utmost discrimination. Becoming clan Stormfall's treasurer was the perfect job for him. He now dresses with the utmost dignity and maintains a cold, hard personality that had helped him survive his childhood. His only weakness is that he wants his children to have everything he wasn't able to. He is a very strict father but he gives them a generous allowance. His lair is lavish but very refined. The only thing out of place is Harrow's "fine china" that is taken out when Harrow visits.
