"How can you possibly be so calm about this?! My entire family died! They burned in the flames of the Daleks and I was ready to kill myself! But you had to come and save me, I'd rather be dead than live in misery."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Torana! Where is the Tardis?! I thought you said it was here!" Chance stopped running and turned towards his wife.
"It was! The Daleks must have destroyed it!" She began to cry, kneeling down to the height of their two children.
"Torana, I'm sorry I yelled at you. But I don't know what to do." Chance knelt down to her level, along with the kids. "All I can hope is that the Doctor knows what he's doing. He vowed to stop this and he has to. I can't lose any of you!
He gave them all a great big hug and didn't let go. That is until a burst of Dalek fire appeared nearby and created an explosion. It was so close that the flying debris knocked them all out.
A few hours later, Chance woke up. The flames that were originally around them had grown several times. He could see it engulf his family, as they laid on the ground, still unconcious from the blow. Even though his head was banging with a miserable pain, Chance began to pull himself from underneath the debris. It was crushing him.
"Torana! Rundan! Senflon!" He screamed their names out with desperation. "I'm coming to get you!"
Out of the blue, the debris began to move above him. Someone else was trying to get him out.
"Are you hurt?" The voice shouted.
"Not badly. Go help my family, they're over there!" He said as he pointed to the burning bodies several feet away from them.
"There's nothing I can do to help them! They're already dead from the flames!" The voice shouted again as they moved more debris out of the way.
"No! They can't be! They have to be alive!" Chance began to pull himself even harder from underneath the debris. His entire lower body was almost completely crushed. "They have to be alive!"
"I've already checked! You and I are the only two living beings in this square mile!" The voice shouted. Chance didn't listen.
They took one final piece of debris off of him. She tried to help Chance up but he was already making his way towards his dead family as soon as he was free. He couldn't walk so he was crawling, towards the flames that have now burned the faces of his family beyond recognition.
"They...have...to be... alive!" He groaned in pain with each breath.
Suddenly, he was grabbed by shoulder. He looked up to see a red-haired woman, eyes filled with fear and movement filled with adrenaline. She began to help him up off of the ground but Chance resisted. Pulling away from her, he turned to look at what laid in front of him. That's the moment when he saw his family up close. Their bodies were charred and nearly unrecognizable. He began to cry. He didn't want to move at all. Not an inch. His family was dead, no one was going to take him away from them.
"We have to go now or we'll die!" The woman took him by the arm and began to drag him away.
"My family is dead! I do not care if I live or die anymore!" He tried to resist her pull on him but her grip was stronger than he anticipated. The power that he felt in her would almost be scary if he wasn't as hellbent as she was. "Let me go! I do not want your help!"
"I am not letting anyone else die! I have lost so much, but I will not lose you!" She tried to help him walk but his resistance was making it very difficult. The more he resisted, the harder her grip got. She was not going to lose anyone else. Not tonight. Too much has happened and too many people have died. "I located a Tardis that's only a couple hundred yards away. If we can get there in time, we might be able to survive this."
"Just let me-" He didn't get to finish his sentence.
Knowing he would not cooperate, the woman knocked him out and resorted to carrying him the rest of the way. The walk felt like it took days instead of the few hours it actually took. The landscape was covered in demolished and burning buildings, the dead bodies of the many Gallifreyan familes, and the ruins of many Tardises and Dalek warships. This made the journey even more difficult. But she was determined to save this one last life, no matter how much he would despise her afterwards. She was tired of death.
