The first of his parents' brood, Askr took after his father only in his visage. His father's pity for the War Boys was completely lost on him. Proud of his parents' heritage, he viewed the War Boys as insects that were beneath him, barely acknowledging their existence, let alone talking to them. To him they mattered less than a sheepdog's flock; his only concern lie with their increasingly fortress-like lair, and how he might keep others from breaching its walls. He became obsessed with this task, spending hours standing still as a statue, scanning each entrance for unwanted openings. Confident that no one could best him in his analysis skills, he resented others who thought they could compete for the role of sentry. In his opinion, all others were subpar; occasionally he would be taken with fits of jealousy, which manifested in bitter, hyper-critical observations, and judgmental stares.
