ok you know what? Lets start with his crush. Artemis probably doesn't suspect a thing and Dagger is either too shy or too unwilling to admit that he likes her. Maybe he'd do unexpectedly sweet gestures, leaving her flowers or gemstones or something. He could have been abandoned as a hatchling, right in the middle of the Abiding Boneyard. Dagger would have to learn how to survive quickly (don't trust anyone, don't make friends, don't be careless). After he left for the Emberglow Hearth, he vowed to make a new life for himself. But no one leaves the Plaguebringer's wasteland completely unscathed. His body still bears the marks of his struggle to survive(but like a true plague dragon, those scars are something of a badge of pride to him) and he still wakes up screaming from the nightmares. Dragons treat him with caution; with Dagger, you can almost never predict a reaction. He could work as a part-time assassin, taking out targets quickly and efficiently. Never lets prey suffer though, killing them as quickly an as painlessly as he can. Obviously he's got a problem with authority, but he could actually be fighting for a cause, instead of just rebelling against his elders, like Zyaxa. Not sure if he'd have any friends, but his reputation would definitely leave the warriors of the clan treat him with grudging respect. Loyal to the clan, but not to its leaders.
