Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this high-flying Nocturne wandered a little too far from her home lair (#175710 Shinyfox), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Kestral speaks broken Dragonish and she usually whistles or mimics the sounds of the wind in order to communicate. She hardly ever lands on the ground, preferring to sleep on the fly or hang from some high flying kite in the Cloudsong. She loves the feel of the wind on her scales and the heat of the sun as she flies in and out of the clouds. Her familiar, a Tuxedo Floracat joins her in flight, balancing upon Kestral's back. The cat doesn't particularly enjoy flying with Kestral but it is one of the only ways she can spend time with her dragon companion.

If Kestral hadn't befriended the Floracat she probably would never touch the ground. Kestral realizes that her flying habits aren't something that her poor Floracat enjoys. In order to try and bring a little joy to her familiar's life Kestral will go out of her way to fly close to flocks of birds and allow her Floracat to swat at them. It is a small thing but it is all Kestral has thought of to make things a little more pleasant for her familiar.

Travel Log:
Before I left the clan Moon insisted that I land so my portrait could be drawn and placed into the clan archives. It was difficult for me to sit still, my wings felt itchy and my legs felt twitchy.

But I suppose they turned out alright. It might have been better if I had been able to sit still, but I just couldn't! I know I'm going to have to get used to landing in order to meet new dragons, hopefully I can get over my unease of being on the ground as I go on this journey.

It was hard for me visiting the DreadWastes clan. They spend a lot of their time on the ground. But I made friends with Phirren and his mate Jackie. They fly and collect things for their lair. After awhile my wings were itching to go further, so I bid Drux's clan farewell and flew off to find a new adventure!

Visiting Clan Huldra, I met another traveler called Oxel. He told me of his travels, and I was so impressed! He'd gone to so many different lair, seen so many dragons... He also said he's retired now. Invited me to stay with him, in earth. A part of me wanted nothing but to stay with him. I tried, I really did. But when the hatchlings had grown up and moved away, I... I just couldn't stay anymore. I left him a note, I think he will understand. I hope he will forgive me.

When I landed in Clan Agrabah, I met Bendis, the clan matriarch, who seemed totally at ease flying with me and answering all of my questions about her territory. But she had many things to do, as did all the other dragons. After a few days, I grew bored of flying by myself and decided to see what else was out there.
