Hart

(My birthday dragon - born a day before my birthday, and in the colors of the sapphire, my birthstone!)

Originally of the Shifting Expanse, Hart is an intelligent dragon with engineering know-how. She delights in seeing inventions being build and lairs being expanded, and loves all of the if-then formulas that go into both. She doesn’t always believe in her own abilities, and has a tendency toward downplaying herself and a melancholy nature, but she is driven by the desire to be an encouragement to others, and to watch their own endeavors blossom and succeed. Hart does well in her own doings, but she delights more in the successes of others.

Born to a guardian father and amongst two guardian sisters, Hart grew up hearing about The Search. Though she herself has no inclination the guardian instinct, such stories planted a seed of adventure in her own heart. After her sisters set out on their searches, Hart joined a group bound toward the Ice Lands for trade of materials and new ideas. Joining the same group was an imperial of the Starfall Isles. TigerLily won Hart’s curiosity and compassion at once. They became swift companions, and she had no heart to leave him upon the return of the caravan.

Their travels stopped when Hart became egg heavy. By the time the children grew, the two dragons found they couldn’t leave the dragons they’d befriended. And when Yalinya’s distraught combined clan wandered from out of the Snowsquall Tundra into the Cloudscape Crags after a horrible accident with their last lair, Hart put herself to work aiding them. They would need a new lair, and they were in want of a dragon who knew the way to help engineer one without further disasters.
