Lyra, or the Tempest Princess as they called her back in her old home, had an interesting way of finding herself in the clan of the Dawnling Cadets. The heir to her mothers throne, Lyra had been groomed to become the next queen of the Breeze Goers ever since she was born. As an only child, there really was no other choice.

However, before she could take her rightful place as queen, the current king of her clan became sick with his own greed and decided to attack the neighboring Dawnling Cadets in a hasty attempt to conquer their vast territory for his own. The battle was long and many dragons from both sides perished, but the Dawnling Cadets ended up victorious. As assurance that the Breeze Goers would not cause trouble again, Azlarre demanded that the Tempest Princess be handed over as hostage. If the wind dragons ever attacked them again, their beautiful princess would be executed.

This didn't last long, though, as a heavy snowstorm raged through the land of both clans during the following cold season. and when it was over, only the Dawnling Cadets were left standing. Their wind flight neighbors were not as used to the cold weather, and were wiped out entirely. Because the threat of an attack was now gone, Azlarre decided to set Lyra free of her position as a hostage, and allow her to join the clan as an official member.

Now a gatherer of the polarfrost faction, Lyra did quite well for herself, gaining respect from her new clan mates and even finding her own mate among their ranks. Though, she was never able to let go of her past as a princess, worshipped by her people; and thus, she has taken to hoarding the rare sacridite crystals.
