Her jaws snap and she tosses her head, a wicked chattering cackle ululating from her slender throat, white eyes flashing under hood and bone.

"My darling, my darling. Sing for me and love my lack of song. I live with your song and caress of scale and fang."

She moves away, her motions erratic, a poppet on tangled strings, pausing between every other step before darting away into the shadows, mad laughter in her wake.
