Assa is a cartographer by trade, and the official navigator for Sideris-on-Riverbank’s needs. She works with the couriers to draw up routes for their trading and mail deliveries, as well as keep contact with their allies and help them with their own travel plans to the northern regions if needed. She is a hobby meteorologist, and the clan’s couriers and allies often send her reports of their own weather patterns and observations – that’s all she asks for in exchange for her services. She can often be found in her study, poring over charts from around Sornieth and analyzing the relationships in the data. Usually she tries to predict Sideris’ own local weather, which has inadvertently led to much casual betting between other clanmates about whether her guesses prove true or not.
She grew up in a colorful clan of the Everbloom Gardens, and is a very traditional Nature dragon in philosophy and attitude. She is nurturing and gentle with those she has come to trust, but can be standoffish and suspicious of strangers. Unfortunately, she has a terrible allergy to animal fur and feathers which causes her problems with the number of Psywurms and other domesticated creatures that freely roam the lair. The clan healer, Liur, has devised a daily tincture that helps lessen the effects of her allergy so she remains largely comfortable as long as she doesn’t get too close to the animals. She does appreciate them as part of her love for nature, but restricts her interactions to those with furless hide like her Nightsky Fuiran. Luckily, flowers don’t trigger her reactions and she can admire Hibiscus’ lair decor as closely as she wishes.

Assa does have strong romantic attraction to Hibiscus, but is shy about expressing it. She came with the refugees to Sideris as Sol‘s mate, but their relationship grew apart (they were quite an odd couple anyway). She has a great sense of direction when hiking and traveling, but embarrassingly horrible aim with combat spells. She has a nervous tic of flexing her sickle claws – something not uncommon to Wildclaws, but especially pronounced in her behavior. This is possibly related to her dueling style, which is based on hunting techniques of leaping onto prey and holding on with sickles to drag her victim down. Liur is very unhappy about this method, which leads to a lot of injuries for him to clean up.
