Biography
The small nocturne darted out of his hiding place and into the woods around them. He couldn't help himself; terror had gotten the best of him, and now he was prime prey for the beast. He heard her footsteps pursue him, and though he tried his best to fly below the treeline, beams of radiant light shot out from all around him, lighting him up like a beacon. After terror filled moments, he founds a nook to stuff himself into, hoping beyond all hope that he had managed to evade her sight. Silence rang out around him before he heard the soft approach of her padded feet.
Cubarey closed his eyes tightly when he saw the Enyo's head shoot towards him. Had he been too loud? Was a part of him showing that the moonlight had bounced off of? He was as good as dead... or so he thought.
A sharp hiss rang out, and the Enyo sounded her wail in return. Cubarey turned his head up towards the sky, surprised to see the brightly colored coatl atop his hiding place. The way the moon illuminated him from behind, one would think he was some sort of deity sent to destroy the beast once and for all. It was a sight to behold, and although Cubarey knew his life was probably close to over he couldn't peel his eyes away from the coatl.
Horus had heard the frightened call of the hunted dragons when he'd been patrolling his lands. The wicked creature before him was something he didn't want to tangle with, though seeing it set his heart ablaze with vengeance that he did not fully understand. He gave another sharp hiss and the nocturne fluttered up and hid behind his headpiece. Once this small child was safe, Horus took flight, leaving behind the furious Enyo. This was all he could do for now.
The tiny dragon burried its face into the soft plumage of his rescuers prime, pristine feathers, whispering softly only two words.
"Thank you."
