From the moment he could fly, Azurite has done so. He reached the clan as a youngling, flying too low and too fast, crashing into the depths of the Starwood Strand. While he survived, twisted and winded, it was some time before he could fly again - and he owed much of his recovery to Rivalen the medic, the skydancer who found him, carried him to the lair, and tended to his broken bones and torn wings.

Having learned a valuable lesson in knowing one's limits, Azurite stayed with the clan as a messenger and courier. He's carried messages to the Ashfall Wastes, to the Observatory, and to his first home in the Windswept Plateau. He still enjoys these trips the most, taking opportunities to go flying with his father, Ephraim. The sight of the two spirals looping and zooming through the air is both common and joyous, punctuated with Azurite's cheerful whoops and Ephraim's shouted warnings.

Azurite's most treasured possessions are his coat (a gift from his father) and a chunk of the dark blue stone from which he takes his name. He keeps the latter at the heart of his small hoard of soft leathers and pilfered stones, upon which he is usually draped, unceremoniously, by a lair-mate after a long day's flying.
"You say I should slow down and enjoy life. I say, there's too much to see!"
