Spartax
Storyteller, pacifist
Ex-mercenary within the Clan of the Charged Depths, once Esmyth's right-hand man "There is nothing easier than to denounce the evildoer; nothing is more difficult than to understand him" Spartax joined Althra known only as Bunny. He was unsure as to whether or not he would stay, but as time passed, it became clear that he was becoming a part of the close community. He renamed himself Spartax, and began training as a warrior. Not because he wanted to fight, but because he enjoyed sparring. On most nights, he could be found telling stories of the Tidelord and his life within the Sea of a Thousand currents. Hatchlings and dragons alike were entranced by his expert storytelling, and he quickly became close friends with Ernst, another newcomer claiming to be from the Sea. Though Ernst had little memory, and his story seemed too fanciful to be true, Spartax stuck with the skydancer. When the clan split in two and moved to the Sea, Spartax unwittingly chose to follow Esmyth, hoping that he could temper the wild young leader's fire with his own wisdom and experience. With little time, Spartax became Esmyth's closest contact- trumping even Gaster's closeness to the warrior king. As time passed, Spartax understood Esmyth like few could claim. He knew why the young mirror had done what he had done, though he could not condone it. The brutality that Esmyth was capable of sickened Spartax, and the coatl told Esmyth he was leaving. That was when things went badly. Esmyth believed that Spartax knew too much of him, and ordered that he become a Pit Fighter instead. Spartax spent the next few months bloodied and bruised. Fighting within the Pits was kill or be killed, and it took all of Spartax's strength and will to be the killer. This took a heavy toll on him emotionally; to this day he's still not fully well, and many doubt he'll ever be the same. Spartax was freed from the Pits by a younger coatl named Furiosa. She was a warrior for the Thunderborn, and had been raiding Esmyth's territory for survivors of his brutality. It hadn't been a personal thing; she'd freed all of the Pit fighters, but Spartax would be the only one to return home with her. Since their first meeting, Spartax has felt that he owed Furiosa a massive debt, and has stuck by her side. Spartax is extremely pacifistic, and refuses to take part in any combat. His stories hardly ever include battle, and the mention of fighting seems to make him nervous. Since Esmyth's return to the Reforged, Spartax has spoken to him a few times, though seems to prefer to stay away from the mirror. 
Mimtae is Spartax's current familiar. She's a spirited rainbow sprite with unsettlingly intelligent eyes. She's never far from him, and will sometimes 'sing' (emit high pitched whistling noises) while he's talking. When battle comes up as a topic, Mimtae will sing louder, and refuses to stop until the topic is dropped.  [/CENTER]
