Biography
There is a fierce rivalry between the herbalist Cairo and the witch-doctor, ZetaAquarii. Cairo believes that kindness, good medicine, and strong amourous bonds between dragons are the key to healing; she has the deepest faith in miracles and near-death experiences, when a desperate dragon brings back a loved one from the brink of death with a cathartic release of emotions. Heartfelt words lead to an outpouring of love that brings the weak spirit back to its miraculously healed body.
ZetaAquarii thinks this is nonsense fit only for fairy tales, and refuses to even consider studying these phenomenons. She carries a pair of enchanted earrings that help her hear the rhythms of her patient's energy, and uses this in conjunction with blood magic and her alchemist tools to restore the patient to their normal condition. While Cairo's healing uses herbs and the presence of family, ZetaAquarii doesn't let any dragon into her workshop lest they see her bone-tipped tools, the hastily crafted blood amulets designed to manipulate energy she hears, and the clinical precision with which she cuts and stitches.
So far, neither dragon has been able to definitively prove that her method is the superior one. They keep track via numerous statistics, including patients lost, patients left unchanged, patients cured to a certain degree, and variability of extraneous factors (patients with too many unusual conditions are considered anomalies). Cairo can often be seen scouring the forest for additional herbs, while ZetaAquarii meticulously picks through the food pile to select the animals with the finest bones. She feeds those to Whirlpool or Wrath, and takes the bones to sharpen them outside her cave next to the gloomy sea.
