Notebook? Check. Lab coat? Clean. Super-charged canister of deadly and explosive electric power? . . . hmm. That one might be worth keeping an eye on. Throw in a pair of oversized glasses and an addiction to sugar, and Kerauno is ready to work, and work hard. Since he joined the clan, it's unlikely that he's ever put down a pencil, so vehemently has he has embraced the Lightning attitude of tenacity and rigor. On the rare occasions that a dragon manages to drag him away from his cave, he can't seem to relax his brain (nor his body- he is constantly tapping his claws and flicking his tail to and fro like an impatient feline). The neurons in his head are abuzz with a strange energy that pulses through him like an electric current, tuned to a channel that never ceases the flow of new and exciting information. Sometimes Kerauno wonders if the sugar is to blame, since he hasn't yet gone without it long enough to experience the crash that is supposed to succeed the high. His clanmates warn him of adverse effects, but he is quick to dismiss these. After all, everyone knows that there has not yet been a long-term study on how prodigious sugar intake affects dragons. In fact, he can be the first to conduct such an experiment- on himself! To him, it's quite the delightful prospect.

Kerauno is a quick learner who pushes himself from discovery to discovery, refusing to so much as blink before the tests yield the information he seeks. But there is one dragon who can draw him away from his desk- his mate Galene, a kindly Snapper who miraculously drew his attention away from his scribbled observations about automation the minute she arrived at the clan. They form a perfect match, and she gives him a purpose beyond his studies.
