Despite his name, Vicious is actually quite a timid creature. He is a bit of an oddity, and while no one else is quite sure what to make of him, neither can he. It's rumored that he isn't really a dragon, just a sick mockery of one--and the rumors may yet be true. In the face of the whispers and accusations, Vicious is a rather gentle soul who wouldn't dare hurt a fly. He's actually almost completely opposed to any violence, with one exception--should you destroy or harm something he has come to love or enjoy, prepare for a whirlwind of pain.

As a hatchling one incident occurred where other children, in an effort to further alienate the young mirror, began to bully him with taunts and jeers. Vicious shrunk into himself and began to cry. When one child took his plaguebringer stuffy, the only comfort he had in his new home, and tore the head from its body, Vicious suddenly retaliated. After several long and tense minutes of adults trying to separate the tiny mirror from his victim, he earned his name. He has since tried to reconcile, but to no avail.

The mirror seems to have no control over these "Vicious" episodes; while he remembers well enough what happens, he reports that he cannot help his actions, and feels much like he is watching someone else taking control of his body. Malinda, one of the clan's strongest and most violent coliseum fighter, took a shining to Vicious, and has made him her personal attendant, so he may become a strong and savage fighter. He does her bidding well enough, but shies when she asks him to perform anything violent.

Vicious very much likes to be alone, and would rather spend his free time in open scenery, where he can listen to the wind whistling through the flora and watch ants in their dedicated marches. He has found a talent for familiar taming, and is usually called upon to help deal with non-sentient non-dragon creatures.
