On the very east edge of the lair lie a peculiar wood that all the harvesters often go in, but they never stay long. They speak of some mischief about the forest, dragons being led on wild goose chases for meat, or going to gather some plants only to have the plant mysteriously vanish.

It was on this east edge that Aelfwine's nest was laid.

As a small hatchling, Aelfwine loved the forest, she would spend what seemed like hours romping about only to have her mother gather her by the neck gently and take her back to their nest. (Nocturnes, she used to cluck in an almost admonishing, but fond, manner, can't believe you take after your father so much).

Aelfwine became so enamored with the forest that she spent more and more time in it, and the more she got lost within the forest and the plants and the creatures, the more she did not want to leave the lair- the stretch of expanding land she called her home.

When clan leader called for any out of control hatchlings to be sent to other lairs, as was done many times before, Aelfwine ran into the forest and begged for the forest to hide her. The forest, having grown fond of its child, agreed and hid her from both her worried parents and the keen eyes of the clan council.

Aquarius, impressed, granted her permission to stay under the conditions she watch over the forest and ensure safety for all visitors.
