Carcol may be of wind descent, but he practically lives in the ocean. Hiatu found him one day while she was exploring the reefs, conversing with the maren. Caracol reluctantly joined Tempus's clan, but the idea of family was too strong to resist. He has also become a sort of ally to the maren, and is in good terms with them for helping them protect their home. Like the reefs, it takes time for him to change his mind, and he is incredibly sturdy and strong. He has no patience for hyperness however, so he does not get along well with the spirals in the clan. This creates a sort of "aloof" aura he presents. Not that he minds, of course. In his mind he is better than some dragons. His means "seashell" in Spanish.
