Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this free-spirited baby wandered a little too far from her lair (40514, agarishounen), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

In a Plague Clan that was a temporary home for many travellers, Anwen found love in the form of another travelling dragon, Komorebi. Their love was doomed to be short-lived, however, as the fire of adventure ran in both their veins. They spent long nights arguing about what to do once the eggs hatched - Komorebi wanted to travel together with their children, while Anwen was insistent that the babies needed to learn what it meant to be a plague dragon. One thing they were both certain of: they still wanted to travel, but not necessarily together, so after the eggs hatched they each took one hatchling and parted ways.

Anwen made a brief stop at a Shadow clan to rest up while on her travels with her son, Anakubi. In that exact timeframe, Anakubi became a young adult dragon, maturing from a slightly awkward adolescent Fae. Anwen, uncomfortable with the sheer amount of Imperials residing on that clan, wanted to set off while Anakubi wanted to go on his own way to look for his sister. With that, they parted ways.

She once more found love in a Wind Clan where she had four hatchlings, yet the laid back personality of the wind dragons drove her insane. By the time her children hatched she was itching to leave. After saying her goodbyes she took flight once again.

Her travels brought her to an immense lightning clan deep in the Stormcatcher's domain, a lair woven with wonderous gadgets, electric lighting, and mechanical marvels. She again found a friend in the vigilant wildclaw Voidwalker, and tried to settle down for a time, fighting alongside a fellow traveler. After a week, Komorebi and a new hatchling arrived as well, and once the initial awkwardness died down, they spent a long time trading tales and advice. Eventually, worried about the levels of technomagical insanity in the clan and what could happen should something go wrong, she took off for new horizons with the one hatchling most likely to follow in his birth-clan's footsteps.

The Dragonhome was one of the few lands Anwen had not yet visited and so she headed north, hardly resting until was stopped by a pair of scouts from a small clan in the Shattered Plain. Though the clan was mourning a recently lost hatchling they didn’t have the heart to turn away a mother and her young son after such a long journey. The two scouts quickly claimed Anwen as "their" guest and trainee, and in a few weeks she settled into settled into a comfortable routine of scouting while her son Xaru soon grew from a hatchling into a youth. When the question came of sending him to the Southern Icefield alone she reluctantly agreed: it was the right choice as a plague dragon...

... then the following day a traveller arrived from the very region Xaru had left for and remarked that heavy storms over the sea had made it a harrowing flight. Anwen coincidentally decided that it would be a good idea to head to the Southern Icefield (she most certainly wasn't worried).

Anwen ended up visiting another Wind clan. This one was very different than the last; where the other had been laid back, this one was constant movement. She suspected some of that was because her visit coincided with the Mistral Jamboree, but it seemed that the dragons there were always in a state of high energy. She soon volunteered to patrol, a task she was used to from past stays, using the task to leave the activity of the lair. Eventually Anwen decided that she would like a proper night's sleep, free from dragons spending all night crafting and testing and experimenting, and prepared to move on.
