Tourmaline

Tourmaline began life in a Fire lair, but she did not remain there. She soon found herself wandering the wilderness of Nature territory and feeling far from home. She eventually met with Morvanya, who had an Imperial male trailing curiously after her. Morvanya explained that she was beginning her own clan and that she was looking for others to join her; she went on and on about the Gladekeeper's goodness, the nurturing she provided to everything under the sun, and her delight for nature's creatures. Partly to get the dragon to stop talking, Tourmaline agreed to join her. Tourmaline had always been impatient, and one-sided conversation was not her strong suit.

As they continued to Morvanya's territory, Tourmaline got to know Bismuth, Morvanya's companion. Much to Tourmaline's surprise, he revealed that he had spent time in not one, but two other flights before joining Morvanya. Tourmaline added that as a point in Morvanya's favor and didn't really think about it again.

As the clan began to build steam, Tourmaline became an integral part of its training team. Her sarcastic nature means that she doesn't always jump in first. However, if Morvanya is busy, Tourmaline assists Bismuth with training the young ones without complaint. As a reward for her efforts, Tourmaline was gifted a third gene, which has brought out even more of her shimmery, aquatic tones.

Over time, Tourmaline's relationship with Bismuth has grown such that she cannot imagine life without him. However, she is one for experiments and fun, so they have agreed that exclusivity isn't a necessity for them.
