Once the favored concubine of Inferrel, leader of the Gilded Clan, Moltana was exalted when suspicions began to grow about her continuing to server her old gods. While she suspected that her own death would follow, Inferrel condemned her to banishment - stripping her of jewels, titles, and her birth-given name.
The Guardian crossed many clans before finding her way to The Clan of Rising Gods, and was surprised by their allowing her entrance, especially as allies to the Gilded Clan. If Inferrel is aware of where she makes her home now, she has made no efforts to contact her once-lover. Taking up a new lover of her own, Moltana is frequently seen with Torfri, who happens to have hatchlings in the Gilded Lair, and be a dragon of taste and aesthetic not unlike the Gilded leader herself. Childish and endlessly greedy, Moltana was subjected to the life of a peasant upon her arrival to the clan. She is offered little in the way of treasure or armor, but takes every piece as if it were a fine trophy. Whispers pass through the clan about her attempting to make it her own; to rise to leader in hopes of spurring some sort of rivalry (or kinship, based on the whisper) with Inferrel and claiming the clan's immense treasure and fortune for her own. |

Moltana is not known for her kindness or generosity but her greed is muttered as insult throughout the Rising Gods. Torfri, frequently in her company, insists that there is a kindness that lies beneath but no other dragons have seen this behavior to know if it's true. Because of her outward rudeness, Moltana has few allies within her new clan. Lightloved once spoke of her with neutrality, saying her gluttony may be strong but that she believes that her loyalty to the clan and her own image might be stronger.
She likes to spend her time in the clan treasury, obsessively counting each coin and gem in hopes of preserving the clan's wealth. Despite her greed, she's never been known to steal. |
