Biography

Trafalgar rolled his eyes.

When he'd come to this land, looking for the rarer herbs he needed in his healing salves, he'd never thought he'd end up staying here. Ichimonji had been kind and reserved, explaining the hidden light found in the darkness. He couldn't have argued with that; who other than another of their birth flight, would know more about the light?

Still, he hadn't been prepared for some of the clans less... refined members.

Little Cassandra was always in his den, bleeding from somewhere, needing more bandages and excitedly prattling on about her newest tinker projects.

The hatchlings fought; bit and scratched and just generally caused a lot of trouble. He soon noticed that it was usually the result of one of Kitetsu's young that had caused the wound. One young hatchling, a red male, who looked strikingly like his father, tended to bite at the wing joints. One of these times he was going to do some serious harm to another.

Slug was a bit of a mystery. He should have grown up by now, but the hatchling size dragon simply wouldn't. He'd examined him time and time over, but there just wasn't anything wrong with him other than the weird case of his stunted growth. And the fact that his name was Slug, but Trafalgar had long ago gotten over the weird names that seemed to have come from those of other flights.

It wasn't all drama however.

He almost daily would sit and talk with Shusui, the older dragon always had an interesting story to tell. Trafalgar also enjoyed reading through his numerous books.

Ixen, Shimmer and himself could sit for hours discussing the different healing methods between the clans. They also would discuss herbs and other things they knew to be natural healing elements from the world around them.

He'd even sat with Terk at one point, learning about a poison that he'd only thought was myth, but was indeed real.

“What is it that troubles you?” Ixen spoke lowly as she approached, her claws clacking on the stone as the bones hanging from her wings clinked with each step.

“Hm?” Turning his head, the imperial sighed as he watched his mate move to the other bench, checking on her own concoctions. “Oh, just thinking about the clan is all.”

“They are a weird bunch indeed.” Ixen carried the thick and heavy accent of a fire born dragon and it had taken Trafalgar a little while to really understand her. “But they need you.”

“I suppose so.” Flicking he end of his tail, he shook his head. “Who else is going to tend to the numerous injuries that occur here on a daily basis?”

All he'd ever wanted to do was be a doctor. He wanted to help others and had studied and learned all across the different realms. There really wasn't much he couldn't tend to and if he couldn't Ixen usually could. Between them both, they were very knowledgeable, even if his mate usually approached things from a very different and not-so-medical angle.

“It's too quiet,” Trafalgar said suddenly, looking over his shoulder toward the doorway to their den. “No one has come looking for me yet today.”

“Oh, give it time,” Ixen chuckled lowly, picking up a small bottle and studying it in her claws.

“It is still early.”

“Yes,” the imperial agreed. “That is what worries me.”
