Shenn was born with a powerful talent for Wind magic, but it manifested in an unusual way. Instead of the usual power over the wind's currents and flow, the echoing voices of long-dead dragons are carried to him on the winds, a constant whisper in the back of his mind. Usually that's all they are - echoes - but occasionally a powerful spirit will seek him out, sensing his awareness, the little tics of acknowledgement he can't help but show.

Some lament their lost lives, searching for comfort and closure; some are tricksy, trying to lure him into traps with the promise of treasure; and some strike out in rage. Those he likes the least, but still he tries to help, nudging the restless spirits onwards with soft words and gentle winds.
