A Wise old Troll
Nature Magic Specialist Lift a root to trip an unwary walker, let the fruit ripen only when it needs to, tending a garden to feed a clan. Paarthurnax does it all as the clan's resident Nature Magic Specialist. It was not his first role in life, having first spent time training to be a front liner against the Beastclans. He fully expected to serve the Gladekeeper in keeping the Flights safe from the Shade and the Beastclans. He is old friends with Odahviing, which was how he came to Clan Cross actually. On the day before his scheduled Exalting he was approached by his friend and given an offer to serve the clan. At first he was wary of the role. While he was proficient with Nature Magic he felt that his friend could have done better. Still, he was touched by the trust Odahviing put in him, so Paarthurnax came to Clan Cross instead of performing his Exaltion to serve the Gladekeeper. He does not regret his decision in the slightest and finds himself incredibly happy and fulfilled with his work. He often helps the Healer's and herbalist grow the plants they need and tends to a garden that grows some plants for the clan to eat. He does his best to ensure that the foragers and hunters do not need to over exert themselves in order to feed the clan. He has feelings for Sonya that are sadly unrequited. He refuses to voice them due to not wanting to break the loving (if strange) mating she has with Quinlan. He hopes that Nyomi will grow as strong and beautiful as her mother. He has an ambition to be named Fori's Second in Command and works to become so despite his current role. He is aware that some of the elder dragons are against him on this and has developed a rivalry with the similarly ambitious Mephyst and his friend Odahviing. |
