Thornspire is never seen by his followers, or anyone else, without his guise. He is extremely charismatic, inspiring the complete devotion of others, but without this cover they likely would run the other direction before he could get close. Thornspire is shadetouched, to the point that the shade has eaten away at flesh and infected bone, under the guise nothing is left but traces of the shade and infected bone. His personality has been eaten away in much the same way. He can barely be called a true dragon. Thornspire is completely soulless, remarkably cruel, and overall is more of a walking shade wearing the skin of a dragon.

In spite of this, or more likely because they do not know, his followers are completely loyal. He uses them to inflict fear onto others, and specifically to terrorize the main clan. They make their lair in a nearby cave, shrouded by hanging moss and other brush, totally concealed from those who might wish to uncover their base. They use their nights for their raids, rarely making an appearance in the daytime and, even then, making sure to not be caught. Thornspire believes that creating an appearance of being nocturnal adds to the terror and apprehension they create in outsiders.

His special pet-project is Echowisp, who is completely devoted to him, though the group's mission goes directly against her better nature. It is vital that he keep his own true nature a closely guarded secret, because seeing the truth of what he is would likely be what would finally push her away.
