Maven was recruited to the Broken Horn clan by Myrtus (via envoy) to serve as the Lightweaver's Emissary to the clan. This is part of a larger plan of Myrtus' to bring in emissaries from other flights to deescalate tensions that have been created by Mousie's overprotective xenophobia. Myrtus isn't quite sure that the plan will work though. Maven's introduction to the clan was met with a cold silence on Mousie's part, and she still hasn't yet warmed up to him.
Maven is utterly devoted to the Lightweaver, and preaches trust and fellowship between Light and Nature flightsand is often heard saying "Plants can't grow without the warm glow of the Lightweaver's sun!" He is young though, and tends to be overly dramatic and sanctimonious, which turns some dragons off.
When dealing with other Wildclaws, Maven talks big, and tries to establish himself in the higher ranks of the Wildclaw pecking order. Though, he really has no practice at skirmishing, and if he was challenged, he'd probably fare poorly. Thankfully for him though, the other Wildclaws still see him as a guest and haven't yet tested his mettle.
