Biography

Rioga Furymane

“The Last of the Nadur Mor Clan.”

“Let me lead the way.”

Survival was the only thing Furymane cared about. After the destruction of her clan in the Viridian Labyrinth when she was nothing more than a little hatchling, orphaned and left to find her way in the world, Furymane knew she had to either fight or die. Scars, loss of fur, tough scales is what this dragon is made of; she feels she would make her parents proud. She hears the whispers in the wind at night and the comfort of their voices as she sleeps. She must continue in the name of the Gladekeeper. In the name of her original clan.

Aisling came across Furymane when she was near death. Too big for the fae to carry, the leader called for her mate, a strong, golden tundra who reminder her of her father… he didn’t smell like him. He smelled weak. But they carried her to their clan, a tiny cave in the Starfall Isles. Her emerald eyes told the pair just how far she had traveled and the chaos she had seen. Furymane had survived through the entirety of the Tangled Wood… she survived the Scarred Wasteland, where so many of her own scars are from today.

“Child,” the fae asked, presenting her with food that made her stomach churn- so nauseated from hunger it almost made her ill. “What is your name?”

“Furymane.”

A name had never been so fitting. For she defied the stereotypes of tundras; she was fierce and ready for attack. Her determination proved to Aisling that she was strong enough to be her second. Thus she trained with her, learning the ways of battle so one day she could take over… if that is what she would choose.

The wind and the leaves no longer encouraged her. Her parents’ voices were nothing more than a memory, replaced with Aisling’s orders and training.

When Aisling decided to move to the Tangled Wood, Furymane was at the front, leading them through the plague infested lands, where they did lose some. And eventually lead them to the mystifying Tangled Wood, where they found home in the deepest crags to the southeast.

If she is not training with Aisling, or helping train the younger ones, she scouts for Aisling to find new dragons who need a home. This allows her to run throughout the Tangled Wood, to get as close as possible to her true home… The Viridian Labyrinth. And she vowed, at the birth of her only son, the namesake of her father who she swears he is the reincarnation of as he looks just like him, they will return once more. To their home amongst Nature and find true allegiance with the Gladekeeper.

If Aisling had left once before… she would leave again.

As her second she could have leverage, she could foresee danger on her travels to find new clan members. She could bring the end of the Trikova Gona clan. Then, and only then, would her father be proud.
