It isn't natural to have a thirst for the flesh of your species. It isn't natural to crave it as you lie awake, looking forward to the next time you can rake in a kill. Azrael knows this. But she does not care. She will wander for days, hunting down intruders and devouring their flesh before burning the body. She'll bring the bones back to camp, claiming that she fended them off using her fiery breath.

She hunts for the clan as well, and will take a few bites of the prey she captures to quench her clanmates' suspicion. This does nothing to help quench the bottomless pit of hunger that rests at the bottom of her stomach. Azrael feels the shadows of emotion, a mere inkling of what most dragons experience. She never feels sadness, nor love. She feels anger and fear, however. It is bred into her to not mourn her prey, but to use her anger and fear to her advantage.

She grew up into a fine young dragon, a little large in size, but quick and supple nonetheless. Her athletic ability led her to become part of a group of hunters. They traveled far and wide, hunting down valuable kills or just killing for food. One day, they wandered too far in the Southern Icefield. The dragons turned on each other, starving. Azrael came out on top with her vastly superior size, and devoured her hunting-mates. Now, she has an uncontrollable urge to eat any dragon passing by, friend or foe.
