Brioche

Brioche is a self-made engineer. He loves constructing machines, and is quite technical and hard-edge. He works in the royal palace, creating machines that assist the chefs, librarians, architects and other workers in the palace. He has a rather monotonous tone of voice, and will often be immersed in his work. He doesn’t have many friends outside the other engineers in the royal palace. Oftentimes he will forget to eat and sleep properly, and will occasionally pass out at his desk in his office. Many of his ideas and plans are extraordinary, and many around the palace admire his skills. However, he is incredibly socially awkward and isn’t too good at talking to people. Among his workmates however, because he is unable to talk to them properly due to his shyness and social awkwardness, he has a reputation for appearing pompous and thinks highly of himself.
He brainstorms a lot of things, and tends to leave many of his more outlandish ideas unfinished. His desk at his workplace and also at home are cluttered, covered in various projects in the planning stages, sketches and measurements, as well as miniatures of his designs in various states of disrepair. He will wake up in the middle of the night if he has an idea and will work on it until morning, sometimes forgetting to even go into the workplace due to some of his idea. His apartments inside the palace are filled with some of his ideas, mechanics, and trinkets, most of which are steam-powered. They can do everything from lighting a candle to delivering the morning paper to the kitchen table in the morning (the added effect is that it forces him to have breakfast). He relies on his mate, Eclair, to construct many of his designs. She knows his visions extremely well and they have a very strong work and romantic bond. All of the constructs that he designed on his desk, in his house, and around the palace were all crafted expertly by Eclair. While most of his apartment is hot-wired, a lot of these machines are prototypes. The smaller, more compact and efficient results often are in the suites of the queen and her consorts, plus other royalty. While he is rarely seen outside his workplace, he is a valuable part of the staff inside the palace.
