With an itch to explore outside the ruins and shadowed forests of the Tangled Wood, and not particularly enjoying the excessive dampness of The Sea of a Thousand Currents, he found himself in The Windswept Plateau, where he met Meir, who was just starting a new clan. They came to know each other almost as brothers, and he decided to settle in and join him in growing a clan of peace and prosperity. He watched over the younglings often, but his playful, mischievous nature landed him in trouble right along with them from time to time. When Nix was taken in, he became particularly fond of her, and treats her more protectively, like a father, than the others.

After several seasons passed, he came to meet Kathryn. Her quiet demeanor and artistic nature were characteristics he found both soothing and fascinating. While he still has a playful side, he's grown up and settled down because of her. He's been trying to gently encourage Nix to do the same, but she seems as stubbornly rambunctious as ever. Though he occasionally gets frustrated, Kathryn helps remind him that he can't rush her to grow up, so instead he ends up spending his timing keeping an eye on her, and trying to protect her from the trouble she self-inflicts from her antiques on occasion.
