Scar silently slept, undisturbed by the newly shed sheets of rain on roof outside. He had not woken in the past twenty four hours, hooked by the night creatures and the truth that came in his dreams. Scar was strong in this way, in the way of the dreams. He was resistant to the nightmares, able to pay them no mind when they occured. This however angered the night creatures, those who lived in the corners of each dream, picking away at the strands of any existent peace and tranquility. Sending you into a nightmare. They had targeted Scar the night he was confronted by such a powerful nightmare that he couldn't breath. In his bed he had squirmed for the first sequence, unvoluntarily being picked apart as the creatures searched for a fear. Under his flesh and bone, the cartilage and muscles, were the creatures. Searching for his heart, his brain. Trying to find his weakness. They plastered themselves to scars body, his soul, still searching. When they were dissapointed to find that Scar had hidden his weakness and his fears well, the creatures screamed with displeasure. Shadowed limbs crawled back through Scar's body and sunk themselves into h is dreams. Already they had started to curve themselves, forming a natural path. Or an unnatural one. The creatures toyed with Scar's mind, like a puppet being pulled up and down by the strings of the puppeteer.
